The OMG wtf? LOL dome is a collaborative, interactive, temporary sculpture that exists to extract verbal superlatives from participants. Details on the project may be
found at http://core9.org/box/. The heart of this eye-boggling project is
The Box, created by engineer artist Joshua Krueger. By the use of sliders and buttons, users of The Box alter the hue, saturation, and strobe light of hundreds of watts of RGB LEDs. When a sweet spot combination is found, hallucinatory
patterns and colors appear in the foggy air. It is a superlative experience that must be experienced to be understood.
The dome has been supported by grants from Playa del Fuego and Black Rock East as well as materials, labor, and construction support by the Firefly Arts Collective community including Dustin
Ledbetter, Meridian, Steve Dudek, Peter Dilworth, SCUL and Pecan, James Frumani, Kosta Zavras, Jesse Campbell, Carl Gruesz, and many, many others. We hope this project continues to thrive and been
seen by many more.
